Miniature Bull Terrier Litters in South Africa

Since their introduction more than 12 years ago, an average of only five puppies a year have been registered in South Africa.

Minis are not easy to breed. Infertility is common. Females struggle to fall pregnant, struggle to carry babies to term, need a C-section to deliver and produce small litters.

Breeding Miniature Bull Terriers is a costly business and breeders cannot recoup these expenses when selling their puppies.

It is for these reasons that there are few Mini breeders in South Africa and this is why the puppies for sale in South Africa are so scarce.
